FNC Baseballers represent the region at National Showcase

Far North Coast Baseball will be well represented at the National Showcase this month as three members of the local association will be on show.

The Under 18 National showcase will replace the youth championships for the second straight year due to Covid-19 impacts.

George Cooper, Liam Weekes and Jayden Battese were selected to represent Far North Coast this week in Sydney. Unfortunately George Cooper was unable to attend.
This is a great achievement for these young players, all showing huge improvements in their development throughout the last year considering restrictions on playing and training.

“The recognition of these players is well deserved as they are all big impact players in our local competition and the whole association couldn’t be more excited to see where this leads for their development and baseball career” Jeremy Sexton Far North Coast Baseball

“It’s an honour to represent the Far North Coast baseball community. I’m enjoying the challenge to play at this next level.“ Liam Weekes

“It’s been a real privilege being selected in the NSW showcase and getting the opportunity to come down amidst the challenging and uncertain times of covid but still being able to get some high quality ball in.” Jayden Battese

The showcase will run until January 15th. This is an excellent opportunity for our best local players in that age group to go up against the best of their peers from all around the country.
